MG Group celebrates 100,000 Buses Produced in 20 Years

MG Group, one of India’s largest privately owned bus building companies, is celebrating its 20 years of bus building business in India. The group will be launching its flagship premium luxury coach ‘Mammoth’ for the Indian market on the occasion. The coach was unveiled at Bus World in 2015 and is already available in international markets. A new coach 'Columbus' will also be unveiled during the celebrations slated to be held at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) from 10 to 12 November 2016.
Mammoth has been developed on a chassis from MAN Germany. The chassis is rugged and robust, and caters to the Indian operating conditions with increased driving safety, while significantly reducing body movements for best ride comforts. With a total of eight emergency exits, the bus also includes various safety measures such as no sharp corners, seat belts for every passenger and the EM – Secure rear exit, which is patented as a world first!

The group claims to have produced 100,000 buses in its 20 years of bus building experience. The company employs over 1100 employees and has Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra and Mahindra as its reputed clients.
