New Version of Ashok Leyland Sunshine Bus to Be Launched Soon

One of the leading commercial vehicle manufacturers in India, Ashok Leyland, demoed a range of new and facelifted passenger and cargo commercial vehicles at Auto Expo 2016 and one of them was the Sunshine school bus. According to the recent updates, this new Ashok Leyland Sunshine bus is all set to get launched in the next few days. The new model is an upgraded version of the already available, well-performing Sunshine bus with more focus on comfort and safety for children.

The company has planned to launch the bus first in Andhra Pradesh market and sequentially in pan Indian market. The new model is based on a new platform which increases the overall strength of the body, hence improving the safety. It’s also equipped with one-of-its-kind I-ALERT system tracking software to let the parents know about their children’s whereabouts on a real-time basis.

Backing the team which has developed the new Ashok Leyland Sunshine bus, group MD Mr. Vinod Dasari said, “We are very proud of the Sunshine bus which has been designed by a team of 80 young engineers.” Expected to be backed by the predecessor’s 4-Cylinder CRS diesel engine, it will deliver the same power and torque, that is, 100 bhp @ 2,400 rpm and 320 Nm @ 1,200 - 2,200 rpm. The details, however, are yet not made public by the company but might get reveled soon, as the launch is around the corner. Its price along with other details, is also under the wraps as of now.
