Seventh Edition of Busworld Held in India

Busworld India 2016, one of the biggest B2B exhibitions for the bus and coach industry in the world, was held between November 10 and 12 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre. This was the seventh edition of the show.
World's leading bus makers including Volvo, SML Isuzu, Daimler and MG Group took part in the show. The exhibition is organized to provide various bus makers with trade opportunities. People also get a chance to see the technological as well as luxury advancements the bus industry has made in recent times. It is imperative to note here that this is the only such event for buses held in the country.
MG Group unveiled ‘Columbus’, its first ultra-low flat floor tarmac coach developed currently for international markets. The bus offers a passenger capacity of 70 people in eight seating and 62 standing arrangement. The bus unveiled by R V Deshpande, Karnataka Minister for large and medium scale industries.
India forms the second largest market for buses and coaches in the world. The sponsors deciding to organize the seventh edition of the show in India is a clear indicator of the importance India holds for major bus makers in the world.
As said this was the seventh edition of the show, however it was organized in India for the second time. The first Busworld edition was held in Belgium.
Previous versions were held in years 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, and 2015. Turkey, Belgium and China are the other countries to have hosted the prestigious show.
